Coorg is also called Kodagu, it is a rural district in the state of Karnataka. The population is 5.5 lakh and the climate is almost wet and the area is 4102 km. Coorg is famous for its hill stations, It is also famous for coffee plantations, rich flora and fauna and the breathtaking views.

The Tadiandamol is one of my favorites in western ghats because of its diversity of trails 13km. ‘Hidlumane trek’ (Kannada) is the best part of the trek. It’s a bit challenging but it gives you the ultimate view of Sharavathi and forests. It is one of the 10th highest peaks of Karnataka. The destination is 440 + kilometres from Bangalore. The difficulty level is moderate.
In brahmagiri range iruppu falls is located. The best time to visit the destination is in monsoon. From virajpet its around 48 km, from bangalore 260 km, from mangalore 240 km, from mysore its 120 km. You can reach the destination by air, the nearest airport is kannur international airport, mysore airport can also be used.

Dubare elephant camp
It is the most popular tourist spot in Coorg. It attacks tourists worldwide. The camp offers many elephants to the visitors where the visitors can be very close to the elephants And spend time with them and make some memorable moments. There is no such harm involved in this camp as safety measures are taken.
Raja’s seat (Kannada) means king’s seat, the best tourist spot in Madikeri. It has a very beautiful environment and a lot of places to sit and the surrounding Sightseeing environment. The destination is 270 km from Bangalore.
It is the most popular falls in Kodagu district when compared to other waterfalls the height is not much, but this abbey falls is wider in range. The entry time is from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Only limited parking facilities are available. The distance to reach is 250 km from Bangalore city, it has good public transport facilities from Bangalore, it is also budget-friendly.
Mercara gold estate coffee plantation
It is a twenty years old plantation of coffee and spices. It is a 12-acre plantation that has been growing since the 1960s.
Omkareshwar temple is the best sightseeing place in the Coorg which was built in 19th century by the king Linga Rajendra 2 the place is attracted by everyone irrespective of religion the temple is of Lord Shiva the temple has a dome on the top there is an water tank in front of the temple were different varieties of fishes lived.
The temple can be visited throughout the year. It takes one hour to visit Omkareshwara Temple.

To get into the Nisargadhama forest an entry fee should be paid. The place is very refreshing but has a good climate for the visitors and it has trails too, which is the best destination for the holidays. The forest is covered by a river. Kaveri has a very beautiful nature everybody can enjoy and interact with the nature. You will find a variety of birds and flowers, and you can capture your best moments with the camera and it has very good sightseeing around, it has freshwater lakes. Apart from them there are various elephants in the forest.
Pushpagiri wildlife sanctuary
Home for many birdlife, it is the highest peak. It is considered as a World Heritage site where there are various rare species of birds. The distance of the world life sanctuaries 287 km from Bangalore to visit duration is 3 to 4 hours. The Wildlife Sanctuary is covered with their lines and waterfalls. What is the best place for bird lovers where you can hear the heartwarming sounds of the birds.
You can reach the Pushpa Giri wildlife sanctuary by air that is from Bangalore or from Mangalore. The best time to visit the Wildlife Sanctuary is from November to March. Many homestay facilities will be available and the climate remains very pleasant and comfortable according to the travellers.
